Subject to the provisions of this Act, the Statutes may provide for all or any of the following matters, namely :- ( a ) the constitution, powers and duties of the authorities of the University; (b) the constitution, powers and duties of the officers of the University; ( c ) the emoluments and other conditions of service of the Vice-Chancellor and his powers and duties; ( d ) the designations, qualifications, methods of recruitment, pay, allowances and other conditions of service of various categories of employees of the University and their powers and duties; ( e ) the constitution, re-constitution or abolition of a Faculty or the Board of Studies and their powers and duties; ( f ) the establishment of departments of teaching in a conducted institutions; ( g ) the conferment of honorary degrees and academic distinctions; ( h ) the institution of pension or provident fund or insurance scheme, or all or any one or more of them, for the benefit of employees of the University; (i) the qualifications of professors, assistant professors, readers, lecturers, demonstrators and other members of the academics staff of the University and recognized institutions; ( j ) registration of graduates and maintenance of a register of registered graduates; ( k ) recognition of examinations of other Universities or educational institutions as equivalent to the examinations of the University; ( l ) any matter which is to be or may be prescribed under this Act; and ( m ) any other matter which is necessary to give effect to the provisions of this Act.
