( 1 ) Every Joint Director shall be wholetime salaried officer and shall be appointed for a period of three years by the Executive Council on the recommendation of the selection committee in the manner prescribed by the Statutes. ( 2 ) No person shall hold the office of Joint Director beyond the age of sixty five years. ( 3 ) The Joint Director shall perform such functions as may be prescribed by the Statutes, Ordinances and regulations made under this Act.
