( 1 ) This Act may be called the Maharashtra Animal and Fishery Sciences University Act, 1998. ( 2 ) It extends to the whole of the State of Maharashtra. ( 3 ) This section shall come into force at once. The State Government may, by notification 1 in the Official Gazette , direct that all or any of the remaining provisions of this Act shall come into force on such dates as may be specified therein.
