1 [59A. Duty of local authorities to give information and assistance to Market Committee.- It shall be the duty of every local authority to give all the necessary information in the possession of or under the control of its officers to the Market Committee or to any officers of the Market Committee authorised by it in this behalf, relating to the import and export of agricultural produce into and out of the area of the local authority, free of any charges. It shall also be the duty of every local authority and its officers and staff, concerned with the collection of octroi, to give all the possible assistance to any officer of the Market Committee in exercising his powers and discharging his duties under this Act.
