(I) The Academic Council shall be the Academic body of the Vishwavidyalaya Council. consisting of the following members,namely Kulpati; Rector; Director, Technical Education. Madhya Pradesh; Chairman, Madhya Pradesh Board of Secondary Education; Dean of Faculties; Chairman of Board of Studies; Heads of the Departments of the Vishwavidyalaya; Four Principals, two from affilated Colleges and two from affiliated Polytechnics to be nominated by the Kulpati, by rotation, according to seniority; Two Professors from affilated colleges of the Vishwavidyalaya to be nominated by the Kulpati, by rotation, according to seniority; (b) TitzfeOf Clan ,14 11 ‘R 1995 SOO (651 Two Readers from the Vishwavidyalaya Teaching Departments amongst whom one shall be a lady teacher nominated by the Kulpati, by rotation, according to seniority; Registrar of Vishwavidyalaya. Member secretary. One-third of the members of the Academic Council shall form the quorum: Provided that no quorum shall be necessary for adjourned meeting. The Academic Council shall have the power to co-opt, as members, two persons having special knowledge or experience in the subject matter of any particular business which may come before the Council for consideration. The members so co-opted shall have all the rights of the members of the Council in regard to the transaction of the business in relation to which they may be co-opted. All the members of the Academic Council other than ex-officio members and members Er red to in sub-section (3) shall hold office for a term of three years. (iii) (a) to make proposals for allocating departments to the Board of studies; . (b) to assign fellows and its own members to the faculty; • (iv) to make proposals for. the institution of fellowships, scholarships, studentships, exhibitions, medals and prizes and to make rules for their award; to consider the application for admission of an educational institution to. the privileges of the Vishwavidyalaya: Provided that no such application shall be considered unless the institutioo has bccn approvpd by the All India Council for Technical Education and the State Goverlment. to prescribe qualifications for recognition of persons as teachers of the Vishwavidyalaya and to accord such recognition; to make arrangement for the conduct of examinations and to appoint result committees or other persons or both, as it thinks fit, to prepare the result of examinations and report such result to the Executive Council for publication; to recognise persons eminent in any subject to guide research in that subject ;
