Disputes between Panchayats and other local authorities.- (1) In the event of any dispute aIising between two or more Panchayats or Panchayat and any other local authoIity in any matter In which they are jointly interested such dispute shall be referred to the State Government and the decision of the State Government thereon shall be final: Provided that if the dispute is between a Panchayat and a canton- ment board the decision of the State Government shall be subject to approval of the Central Government. (2) The State Government, may by rules made under this Act, .regulate the "relations between Panchayats and Panchayat and other local authoIities in matters in which they are jointly interested." Rules:- The State Government has made the followingrules in exercise of the powers conferred by this section. These Rules shall be found under Rules given separately. "REGULATION OF RELATIONS BETWEEN PANCHAYATS AND PANCHAYAT AND OTHER LOCAL AUTHORITIES RULES, 1994"
