Standing Committees of Gram Panchayat.-(l) A Gram Panchayat rna)' for discharging its functions and duties, constitute standing committee not exceeding three and such committee shall exercise such powers as may be assigned to them by the Gram Panchayat. The committee shall be under the general control of the Gram Panchayat. . (2) No person shall be a member of more than two commlttees ata time. (3) The term of office of the members of standing committee and the procedure for the conduct of business of the standing committee shall be such as may be prescribed. Rules:- The State Government has made the followingrules in exercise. of the powers conferred by this section. Th~se Rules shall be found under Rules given separately.
