Model bye laws.- (1) The State Government may, from time to time, make , model byelaws for any matter in respect of which a Council is empowered to make bye-laws under this Act and publish them in the Gazette for the guidance of Councils. (2) It appears to the State Government that in any Municipality byelaws are necessary for any matter in respect of which model byelaws have been published under sub-section (1) it may require the Councils to adopt such model byelaws modified to suit local conditions. (3) If any Council fails to comply with a requisition made under sub-section (2) within six months of the making thereof the State Government may apply to such Municipality the model byelaws modified as it thinks fit.
