Brothels- On the complaint of the President , or of three or more persons residing within the Municipal limits, that a house within the said limits, is used as brothel, or by disorderly persons of any description, to the annoyance of the inhabitants of the vicinity, or that any such house is used as a brothel in the neighbour hood of a cantonment or of an educational or charitable institution or boarding house or of any place of worship, any Magistrate of the first class having jurisdiction in the place where the house is situated, may summon the owner or the occupier of the house, and on being satisfied that the house is so used and that it is a source of annoyance or offence to the neighbours, or that it is in the neighbourhood of a cantonment or of an educational or charitable institution or boarding house, or of any place of worship, may order the owner or the occupier to discontinue such use of it; and if he fails to comply with such order The Madhya Pradesh Municipalities Act, 1961 108 within five days, may impose upon him a fine not exceeding five hundred rupees for every day thereafter, the house is so used.
