Disqualification arising out of corrupt practices.-- If any person after the commencement of this Act, is, upon the trial of an election petition thereunder, found guilty of any corrupt practices, he shall, for a period of five years from the date on which such finding takes effect, be disqualified for voting at any election: Provided that the State Government may, by notification, remove the disqualification incurred under this section with effect from such date as may be specified therein.
