Power to regulate slaughter of animals not for sale.- The Council may with previous sanction of the Collector and by notification published in accordance with rules, made under this Act, fix premises within the limits of the Municipality in which the slaughter of animals of the any particular kind not for sale shall be permitted, and prohibit, except in case of necessity, such slaughter elsewhere within those limits: Provided that the provisions of this section shall not apply to animals slaughtered for any religious purpose.
