Short title, extent and Commencement (1) This Act may be called the Madhya Pradesh Municipalities Act, 1961. (2) It extends to the whole of Madhya Pradesh. (3) It shall apply to the smaller urban area or a transitional area, as the case may be, from the date on which they are notified as such order Section 5.
