Power to make regulations for fire brigades.- (1) When the fire brigade is maintained by Corporation the Commissioner shall make regulations for- (a) the training discipline and good conduct of the men belonging to the fire brigade; (b) their speedy attendance with engines, fire-escapes and all necessary implements on the occasion of any alarm of fire; (c) the maintenance of the said brigade generally in a state of efficiency; and (d) the submission of reports of fires. (2) With the approval of the Mayor-in-Council and subject to the conditions and limitations prescribed by this Act, the Commissioner may make regulations for the grant of gratuities, rewards or certificates, to persons who have rendered effective service to the fire brigade on the occasion of a fire.
