Information to be given of existence of dangerous disease.- (a) being a medical practitioner or a person openly and constantly becoming cognizant of the existence of any dangerous disease in any dwelling other than a public hospital, or (b) being the owner or occupier of such dwelling and becoming cognizant of the existence of any such disease therein, or (c) being the person in charge of, or in attendance on, any person suffering from any disease in such dwelling, and becoming cognisant of the existence of the disease therein; fails forthwith to give information, or knowingly gives false information to the Health Officer or to any other officer to whom the Corporation may require information to be given respecting the existence of such disease, shall be punishable with fine which may extend to five hundred rupees: Provided that no person shall be bound to give such information or to cause such information to be given, if such information has been given.
