Application for acquisition of land for grant-in-aid - irrigation works.- Any permanent holder who desires to construct a private irrigation work towards the construction of which the State Government has sanctioned a grant, of money, and to acquire for such purpose the land of a may apply in writing to the State Government through Collector stating: (a) That he has endeavored unsuccessfully to the land; and (b) That he desires the Collector on his behalf a his cost, to acquire the land for him under Act.
