Power to remove obstructions.- (1) The Collector or any canal officer authorized by the State Government in this behalf may, after such publication, issue an order to the person causing or having control over such obstruction to remove or modify it within a time fixed in the order (2) If, within the time so fixed, such person does not comply with the order, the Collector or said' canal officer may remove or modify the obstruction, and the expenses incurred In such removal or modification shall be recoverable as arrears of land revenue.
