Power of State Government to exempt persons or intoxicants from the provisions of the Act.— The State Government may by notification, either wholly or partly and subject to such conditions as it may think fit to prescribe, exempt any person or class of persons or any intoxicant, wholly or partly from all or any of the provisions of this Act or of all or any of the rules made under this Act, either throughout the State or in any specified area comprised therein, or any specified period or occasion.
