Power to delegate.- (1) The competent authority may, by notification, direct that any power exercisable by it under this Act may also be exercised, in such cases and subject to such conditions, if any as may be specified in the notification, by such officer or the local authority as may be mentioned therein. (2) The State Government may, by notification, direct that any power exercisable by the State Government under sub-section (7) of Section 11, Section 16, Section 21 and Section 44 may, subject to such conditions, if any, as may be specified in the notification, be exercised also by the Chief Secretary or by such other officer as may be mentioned therein. [50A. Absorption of the officers and servants. - Notwithstanding anything in this Act or the Madhya Pradesh Municipal Corporations Act, 1956 or the Madhya Pradesh Municipalities Act, 1961 and the rules made thereunder the services of officers and employees appointed under this Act shall be absorbed in such Municipal Corporation or Municipal Council or Nagar Panchayat, as the case may be, in such manner and on such terms and conditions as the State Government may, by order, determine ; Provided that such absorption shall not affect the seniority of any employee or officer of the Municipal Corporation or Municipal Council or Nagar Panchayat, as the case may be.] 20 / 23
