(1) (2) There shall be a Head ofthe Department for each Department of Study. (3) The Vice-Chancellor shall nominate one ofthe professors as Head of the Department and if there is no professor, the Dean of the Faculty shall act as the Head of such Department until a duly qualified person is available. (4) The terms and conditions of appointment, duties and functions of the Head of the Department shall be prescribed by the Statutes.
