Enquiry for verification of records-(1) For the purpose of verifying the accuracy of any records maintained by an employer under the provisions of section 94, an officer authorized by the State Government may, subject to the prescribed conditions, hold an enquiry and may require any person to, and such person thereupon shall, produce any relevant record or document in his possession and may after reasonable notice at any reasonable time enter any premises wherein he believes such record or document to be and may aks any question necessary for verifying such records; Provided that where such premises are not the usual business premises of a person, such officer shall not without the previous permission of the State Government enter them under this sub-section. (2) Any proceeding held by him for the purposes of obtaining information for such record shall be deemed to be a judicial proceeding within the meaning if section 192 of the Indian Penal Code, 1860 (No. XLV of 1860) CHAPTER—XVI Miscellaneous
