Penalty for illegal lock-out or illegal closure—Any employer, who has commenced a lock-out or a closure which a Labour Court has declared to be illegal, shall on conviction, be punishable with fine which may extend to two thousand and five hundred rupees and in the case of the lock-out or the closure thousand and fine hundred rupees and in the case of the lock-out or the.: closure as the case may be, being continued after lapse of forty-eight hours after, it has been held or declared to be illegal with an additional fine which may extend to five thousand rupees for every day during which such lock-out or closure continues after such conviction.
