Saving of certain provisions of the Industrial Disputes Act -Except Chapters V-A, V-B and V-C and the other provisions with respect of layoff, retrenchment compensation special provisions relating to lay-off. retrenchment and closure in certain establishment and unfair Labour practices] nothing in the Industrial Disputes Act, 1947(No. XVI of 1947) shall apply to any industry to which this Act is applied; Provided that— (a) any settlement arrived at or award made under the provision of the Industrial Disputes Act, 1947 (No. XVI of 1947) here in after it this section referred to as the Central Act) in respect of any industry to which before the date of application of this Act, the Central Act was applicable, shall be deemed to have been arrived at or made under the provisions of this Act, unless and until prescribed by any settlement or award arrived at or made under this Act; (b) any proceedings pending on the date of application of this Act to an industry to which before such date the Central Act was. applicable, shall be disposed of in accordance with the provisions of the Central Act.
