Penalty for breach of provisions of this Act etc - Whoever contravenes any of this provisions of the Act, or any rule or regulation of byelaw made or scheme sanctioned there- under shall if no other penalty is provided for such contravention, be punishable; (a) with imprisonment for a term which may extend to three months of with fine which may extend to one thousand rupees, or with both; (b) in case of a continuing contravention, with fine which may extend to fifty rupees for each day after the first during, which the contravention continues.
