Prohibition of transfer of immovable property generally in certain areas. - The Government may, by notification in the Jammu and Kashmir Government Gazette, declare that in such areas and for such periods as may be specified in the notification transfer of any immovable property or class of immovable property shall be prohibited, and where any such declaration has been made, no transfer of any immovable property shall be made during the period in that area except with the previous approval in writing of the Collector of the District in which the property or the greater part thereof is situated.
