Compensation.--On imposition of fine under section I I or section 12, the second appellate authority may, by order, direct that such portion o f the fine imposed under the said section shall be awarded to the appellant, as compensation, as it may deem fit : Provided that the amount of such compensation awarded shall not exceed the amount of fine imposed under the said section.
