Power of Government to make rules

Power of Government to make rules. ––(1) The Government may make rules consistent with this Act either generally or for any particular area to carry out the purposes of this Act and to delegate any of their powers under this Act to authorities subordinate to them and such rules may be incorporated in any scheme by a reference thereto in the scheme subject to any modifications that may be set out in the scheme. (2) In making any rule, the Government may provide that a breach thereof shall be punishable with fine which may extend to one thousand rupees. 1[11-A. Sanction of prosecution.–– No prosecution for any offence punishable under this Act shall be instituted except with the previous sanction of the Government. 11-B. Protection of action taken in good faith.–– No suit, prosecution or other legal proceeding shall lie against any person for anything which is in good faith done or intended to be done under this Act or any rule made thereunder.]
