Bail.––The provisions contained in Chapter XXX of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1989, regarding bail so far as they are applicable, shall apply mutatis mutandis in respect of persons arrested or detained or brought before a Court under the provisions of this Act, subject to the modification that for the expression “officer in-charge of a Police Station” wherever occurring the expression “an 3[Excise and Taxation Officer] not below the rank of an Inspector” shall be deemed to have been substituted.
