(1) The territorial jurisdiction of the University shall extend to the whole of the State of Kerala. (2) The University may assume responsibility for the establishment, development and operation of any institution concerning to conduct instructions in the study of fisheries, ocean studies and technical subjects as may be required. (3) All schools and regional centres of research and other institutions coming under colleges the jurisdiction and authority of the University shall form constituent units of the University under the full management and control of the Officers and Authorities of the University and no school, research or experimental station or other institutions shall be recognised as an affiliated unit. (4) The University may conduct distant education courses all over the country or abroad or to admit non-resident students or to appoint teachers. (5) The University may recognise or undertake institutions of research in fisheries and ocean studies as recognised institutions for undertaking research.
