(1) An elected or nominated member of the University Governing Council shall cease to hold office on the day immediately preceding the date of reconstitution of the University Governing Council which elected or nominated him. (2) The members of the University Governing Council, other than the elected or nominated members who have ceased to hold office by virtue of the provisions of sub-section (1) shall be competent to exercise the powers and perform the functions of the University Governing Council under this Act and Statutes, Ordinance and Regulations made thereunder. (3) The quorum other than those who have ceased to hold office by virtue of the provisions of sub-section (1) for any meeting of the University Governing Council shall be more than half of the remaining members.
