Section 20

Meeting of the Senate.--

(1) The Senate shall meet at least once in four months on dates to be fixed by the Vice-Chancellor, and one of such meetings shall be called the annual meeting. (2) One-fifth of the total number of members of the Senate shall be the quorum for a meeting of the Senate: Provided that such quorum shall not be required for a Convocation of the University or a meeting of the Senate held for the purpose of conferring degrees, titles, diplomas or other distinctions. (3) The Vice-Chancellor may, whenever he thinks fit and shall, within thirty days of the receipt of a requisition in writing signed by not less than one-fourth of the total number of members of the Senate, convene a special meeting of the Senate. (4) When a special meeting is convened on requisition, no subject other than that shown in the requisition shall be considered at the meeting.
