Penalty for breach of the promsions of the Act, etc.-Whoever con- travenes any provision of this Act or of 1111y rule made or scheme sanctioned thereunder shall, if no other penalty is provided for such contravention, be punishable- (a) with fine which may extend to one hundred rupees ; and (b) m case of a contmuing contravention, with fine which may extend to fifty rupees for each day after the first durmg which the contravention contmue~.
