(1) The Government may grant leave of absence to the Chairman for such period as they think fit. (2) The allowance, if any, to be paid to the Chairman while absent on leave, shall be such amount, not exceeding his salary, as may be fixed by the Government: Provided that, if the Chairman is a servant of the Central or State Government, the amount of the allowance shall be such as he may be entitled to under the conditions of his service under the Central or State Government relating to transfer to foreign service.
