Prohibition of persons suffering from leprosy from attending school, college or taking out books or newspapers from public or circulating lwbraries—(1) No person who knows that he is suffering from leprosy shall— (a) attend any school, college, playground or such other place; or (b) take any book or newspaper or cause any book or newspaper to be taken for his use or use any book or newspaper taken, from any public or circulating library. (2) No person who has the care of a person whom he knows to be suffering from leprosy shall permit him to do any of the acts prohibited by sub-section (1). (3) For the purposes of this section— (a) “public library” shall include “public reading room”; (b) “book” shal]! include every volume, part or division of a volume, pamphlet and leaflet in any language and every sheet of map, chart or plan separately printed, lithographed or otherwise mechanically produced; and _ (ce) “newspaper” shall mean any periodical work con- taining public news.
