Prohibition of the deposit of rubbish eic., in street etc —~ (1) No person shal] deposit or cause or suffer any member of his family or household to deposit any carcasses of animals, any dust, dirt, dung, ashes or refuse or filth of any kind, any animal matter, any broken glass, earthenware or other rubbish, or any other thing which is or may be a nuisance, in any street or in any drain beside a street or on any open space (not being private property) or on any quay, jetty or landing place, wharf or oh any part of the seashore, or on the bank of any water- course, except in such receptacles as may be provided or at such place, in such manner and at such hours, as may be fixed by the Health Officer. (2) No person shall ease himself, or cause, permit or suffer any member of his family or house-hold to ease himself in any such street, drain, open space, quay, jetty, landing place, wharf, seashore or bank aforesaid. nF (3) Any person easing himself in any private open space shall immediately cover up the excreta with earth. _ CHAPTER VII PREVENTION, NOTIFICATION AND TREATMENT OF DISEASES PART 1I—Infectwus diseases n general, 50 Infectious diseases.—For the purpose of this part “infec- tious disease” means— (a) actue infiuenzal (i) malaria, pneumonia, ' (b) anthrax, (i) measles, (c) cerebro-spinal fever (k) mumps, .(d) chickenpox, (1) ophthalmia, (e) cholera, (m) plague, (f) diphtheria, (n) Poliomyalitis, (g) dysentery, (o) rabies, (h) enteric fever, (p) relapsing fever, 88 (q) small-pox, (s) typhus, (r) tuberculosis (t) whooping cough, (infective types, ) (u) yaws, or (v) any other disease which the Government may, from time to time, by notification, declare to be an in- fectious disease either generally throughout the State or in such part or parts thereof as may be specified in the notification.
