Punishment for contravening provisions of Section 114 through others——(1) Any person who does any of the acts, mentioned in sub-section (1) of Section 114 or in clauses (a) to (e) of sub-section (1) of Section 10 of the Travancore Prevention of Adulteration Act, 1124, or clauses (a) to (d) of sub-section (1) of Section 4 of the Cochin Prevention of Food Adulteration Act, XIV of 1109 in any area to which the said Acts have been extended, through others employed by him, whether the latter be adults or children, shall be liable to punishment for such act as if he had himself done the same. (2) If a child under seven years of age does any of the acts aforesaid, the employer of the child, or the parent or other persons having the care and custody of the child, as the case may be, shall be lable to punishment for such act as if he had himself done the same.
