Metropolitan Planning Committee and Plans for Metropolitan Area.—The Metropolitan Planning Committee, if any, constituted by the Government under section 54 of the Kerala Municipality Act, 1994 (20 of 1994), shall prepare the draft development plan for the Metropolitan Area under sub-section (7) thereof, which shall comprise a Perspective Plan for the Metropolitan Area and Execution Plans for the Metropolitan Area and exercise such other functions assigned to it under this Act.
