Controller of Examinations

Controller of Examinations.—(1) The Controller of Examinations shall be a full time officer of the University and shall be appointed by the Vice -Chancellor with the approval of the Executive Committee in accordance with the Statutes. (2) The controller of Examinations shall be responsible for the timely conduct and publication of results and the timely award of mark sheets and degree certificates. (3) It shall be the duty of the Controller of Examinations to maintain the 1 Substituted by Act 15 of 2019. 26 secrecy of the question papers, identify the external evaluators and such other matters of confidential nature related to the conduct of examinations. (4) The Controller of Examinations shall be responsible for maintaining the record of examination and other assessments made with regard to the students and research scholars and shall pass on such information to the concerned Deans of Faculties. 1[(5)The Controller of Examinations shall be appointed for a period of four years from the date on which he enters upon his office or till he completes the age of fifty-six years, whichever is earlier and he shall be entitled for the emoluments and other service conditions as may be prescribed. (6) The person appointed as Controller of Examinations shall be eligible for re-appointment for one more period subject to the provisions in sub-section (5).]
