Compensation officers. - (1) The Government shall, by notification in the Gazette, appoint compensation officers for such areas as may be specified in the notification to carry out the functions and duties assigned to them by or under this Act. (2) Every compensation officer shall be subordinate to the Board of Revenue and shall be guided by such lawful instructions as it may issue from time to time.
