The registered holder of any land may apply to the Government or to any officer or authority authorised by the Government in this behalf for the survey of his land on the ground that a portion of the land has been lost by sea erosion or action of river; and thereupon the Government or such officer or authority, as the case may be, may order the survey of the land.
