160 to provide for the extmgurshment of the r1ghts and habrlrtres 1n respect of the sard paddy and rrce, BE 1t enacted 1n the Twenty-seventh Year of the Republrc of Indra as follows —— 1 Short title and commencement—(1) Thrs Act may be called the Supply 01 Paddy and che to Travancorc Palaca (Extrngurshnrent oi Rrghts and Lrabrlrtres) Act, 1976 (2) It shall be deemed to have come .rnto force on the 20th day of Apr:l 1'J72 2 Extmguishment of right of supply of paddy and rice.— Notwrthstandrng anythmg contarned rn any other law for tne trmc bemg rn force, or 111 any contract or other document. wrth effect on and from the commencement of thrs Act, all rrghts, liabrlrtres and oblrgatlons 1n respect of the four thousand paras of paddy, one hundred and ten paras oi NJavara rrcc and one and a halt paras of Oora r1co supphed annually by the Government to the Travancore Palace for use of the former MaharaJa of Travancore and the Palace, 1n pursuance of the Order of the former Goycrnment of Travancore-Cochm No G5—18313/49/CS, dated the 12th December, 1949, shall stand extrngurshed, and accordrngly no paddy or rr‘ce 1n pursuance of the sard Order shall be supplred to the Tr‘avancore Palace 3 No compensation to be payablc.—Notwrthstand1ng anythrng contarned In any law for the trme berng 1n force, 01 in any contract or other document, no compensatron shall be payable to the former MaharaJa of Travancore or the Travancore Palace for the extmgurshment by sectron 2, of the rrghts 1n respect of the paddy and nee mentroned m that sectron
