Term of office of members of the Board.—(1) The non-official members appointed under sub-section (3) of section 6 shall hold office for a period of three years with effect from the date of the notification constituting the Board. (2) Any non-official member may resign his membership by giving notice in writing to the Government, but shall continue to hold office until his resignation is accepted by the Government. (3) Government may at any time, for reasons to be recorded in writing, remove from office any official member, if the Government are of the 9 opinion that, in public interest, it is not fair to allow such member to continue in office.
