(1) A State Agency for accreditation and recommending the renewable energy projects for registration and for undertaking the functions under these Regulations shall be designated by the Commission. (2) The State Agency shall function in accordance with the directions issued by the Commission and the procedures and Regulations specified by the Central Agency under the REC Regulations. (3) The State Agency shall submit quarterly reports to the Commission in respect of compliance of renewable purchase obligation by the obligated entities in the format as approved by the Commission and may suggest to the Commission, appropriate action if any required, for the compliance of the renewable purchase obligation by the obligated entity. (4) The Commission may from time to time fix the remuneration and charges payable to the State Agency for the discharge of its functions under these Regulations. (5) If the Commission is satisfied that the State Agency is not able to discharge its functions efficiently, it may by order with reasons in writing, designate any other agency to function as the State Agency.
