Prior to the omission it read as: "Residence of students.-- The students shall reside in accommodations which are maintained by the University or have been approved by the Director of Students' Welfare as suitable for the residence of the students of the University: Provided that students who are coming from a distance of less than eight kilometers from the campus of the University may reside at their own home and conduct their studies as day-scholars."
