(1) The Academic Council shall meet at least once in six months on dates to be fixed by the Vice-Chancellor. (2) One-fourth of the total number of members of the Academic Council shall constitute the quorum for a meeting. [(3) The Vice-Chancellor or, in his absence, the Pro-Vice Chancellor or, in the absence of both, a member chosen by the members present from among themselves shall preside over a meeting of the Academic Council.] Substituted vide the Sree Sankaracharya University of Sanskrit (Amendment) Act, 2008 (Act 7 of 2009) w.e.f. (09/06/2008).
