Passing of decrees by Regtstrar on confesswn.-41) If, before the date appointPd for the heanng of a SUit, the defend- ant or his agent duly authorised m that behalf appears before the Registrar and admtts the plaintiff's claim, the Registrar may, if the Judge is absent, and an Additional Judge has not been appomted or, having been appointed, Is also absent, pass against the defendant, upon the adm1s~wn, a decree which shall have the same effect as a decree passed by the Judge. (2) Where a decree has been passed by the Regtstrar under sub-sectwn (1), the Judge may grant an application for revtew of JUdgment, and re-hear the suit. on the same conditwns, on the same ground and m the same manner, as tf the decree had been passed by himself.
