Interest shall be calculated on the amount to which a person is entitled under section 15 at the rate of four per cent per annum from the date when the land vested in the Government under sub-section (2) of section 14 until such amount shall have been paid or deposited, and shall be paid or deposited by the competent authority in the same manner as provided for the payment or deposit of such amount.
