Where any [notice, demand or order] has to be served under this Act, such service shall be made-- (a) by delivery of a copy of such [notice, demand or order] to the person concerned, or where such delivery is not possible to an adult [x x x x] member of his family, or, where this is not also possible, by affixture of a copy of the [notice, demand or order] on the outer door of his usual place of residence; or (b) by registered post [or by e-mail].
