Penaltyfor offenteL—Whoever contravenes any provision of this Act :1 or any rule made thereunder, or any order made or direction given under this Act, or obstructs the lawful exercise of any power conferred by or under this Act, shall be punishable with imprisonment for a term which may extend to three months, or with fine which may extend to two thousand rupees, or with both.
