(1) Save as otherwise provided in this Act. the term of office of the members of a District Library Council shall be [five years] commencing [from the date of notification of the] constitution of the District library Council in the Gazette: Provided that every member shall continue in office until his successor assumes office. (2) A member of a District Library Council shall be eligible for re-election to the council. Substituted by Acts 1/1998 and 20/1998 w.e.f. 26-4-1998. Substituted by Act 18/1990.
