Ensuring sanitation facilities.—(1) The Public Health Officer or any officer not below the rank of Junior Health Inspector authorised by her shall conduct inspection in specified times and shall ensure that the sanitation criteria made by the State Public Health Officer is being followed in all institutions, except individual residence and where prescribed number of persons reside or work and in the event of noticing of any discrepancies, notice shall be given to the owner or the dispenser of the institution directing to rectify the same and the owner or dispenser shall implement it accordingly. (2) The owner of an institution who violates the provisions in sub-section (1) shall be liable to penalty as specified in section 65.
